Special Education School PA Our mission that we have here at our platform is to be able to bring freedom to learning for students who struggle with traditional education due to social, emotional, and behavioral needs. They are able to see the potential in all the students that come through their doors and will stop at nothing in order for them to achieve greatness. They understand that each student has unique needs and they respect their dignity. This is why they are so passionate about using revolutionary hands-off de-escalation methods and not employing restraints in their school. They seek to help students find freedom today and to create opportunities for tomorrow.
They support students in grades five through twelve and also up to the age of 21. Most of our students here at Special Education School PA have emotional support that is needed, others have led here by making undesirable choices and causing them to get kicked out of their schools. They have a built-in social and emotional class period and are able to help these kinds of students and everyone else who is willing to work through developing strategies to assist them in bettering their decision-making. They also offer the opportunity to give students the option of making up lost credits in order for them to be eligible to graduate with their correct grades and alongside their friends.
This program is available and flexible to provide a variety of services to all students who need a little extra support to learn strategies for successfully graduating and moving on to a technical school, college or university, or even the military or just for work. Here at Special Education School PA, our students work with local businesses to learn skills for employment or to just get an introduction to a career field of interest. This opportunity is important for our juniors and seniors to determine what avenue they want to explore after they have graduated. Some of our students are working through an advanced track and also have the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment courses through local community colleges.
Here at keystone freedom academy, they primarily are here for emotional support and educational purposes. They meet with each student for an intake meeting to discuss their needs and what they want to achieve other and go by attending our school. if after meeting and reviewing all paperwork we believe that they can successfully support the student we will offer acceptance. students who do not get accepted are those We Believe other out of District placements could better support with greater outcomes. we do not want to accept a student who we cannot help succeed and waste their precious learning time
